Treadmills sold in Ireland range from about €220 for a compact folding model to over €2,000 for a connected running machine. Which one makes sense depends on three things: whether you want to run or mainly walk, how much floor space you can give it, and how much weight it needs to carry. This guide lists treadmills you can buy in Ireland now, from Home Fitness Code, Decathlon, Elverys, McSport and Harvey Norman, with prices, speeds and weight limits, plus tips on delivery and where to see one in person.
Key points
- If you only want to walk, a walking pad (from €99.99) is cheaper, quieter and easier to store than a treadmill.
- For light jogging on a budget, folding treadmills start at €219.99 online (the Q8, rated for 150 kg).
- For regular running, expect to pay €530–€1,000 for a 16 km/h machine with powered incline and a longer belt, from Decathlon, McSport or Elverys.
- Full treadmills weigh 60–100 kg. Check delivery terms (doorstep or room of choice) and whether you can get it upstairs.

What each budget gets you
Under €250: compact folding treadmills
The Q8 from Home Fitness Code (€219.99) is the cheapest motorised treadmill we found with clear Irish delivery. It reaches 12 km/h, has a 5% manual incline and is rated for 150 kg, with a deck that folds up. It is far lighter than a full treadmill (26.3 kg), but the 97 × 40 cm belt is short for running at speed. It suits walking and light jogging.

€300–€600: Decathlon and entry-level ProForm
Decathlon’s Domyos range is the main high-street option at this level, with a 2-year warranty on its own-brand machines. The non-motorised TS100 (€320) moves only when you push the belt, at a fixed 15% incline. The motorised T520B (€530) folds and goes up to 13 km/h. At Elverys, the ProForm Sport TL (€549) reaches 16 km/h with 0–10% incline, but it does not fold and is rated for only 102 kg.
€700–€1,000: proper running treadmills
For regular running, look at 16 km/h machines with a longer belt and powered incline: Decathlon’s RUN500 (€720), the Xterra TRX2500 at McSport (€799), and at Elverys the ProForm Carbon TL (€899) and NordicTrack T Series 7 (€999). The T Series 7 has a 140 × 51 cm belt and is rated for 136 kg. These machines are heavy: the NordicTrack weighs about 91 kg, so plan the room and the route in.
Over €1,000: connected and premium machines
Elverys sells larger NordicTrack models from €1,199, and Harvey Norman lists the Echelon Stride auto-fold treadmill (€2,099, online only). At this price, compare subscription costs for any fitness app as well as the machine itself.
Do you need a treadmill, or would a walking pad do?
If you mainly want to walk, for example at a standing desk or while watching TV, a walking pad costs less, is quieter and slides under a sofa. Walking pads in Ireland start at €99.99 (see our best walking pads in Ireland). Choose a treadmill if you want to run, need full handrails, or want programmes and powered incline. Our walking pad vs treadmill guide compares the two side by side.
