Home Fitness Code (homefitnesscode.com) sells walking pads, compact treadmills and exercise bikes online to Irish buyers, often at prices well below high-street retailers. If you have not heard of it before, it is sensible to check who you are buying from. Here is what we found.
The short answer
- Home Fitness Code is an established online retailer with a claimed Trustpilot profile since January 2021 and a 3.7 out of 5 score from about 9,100 reviews (re-checked 13 October 2026).
- Its About page names a Hong Kong company, HongKong Runhongze Limited. Irish orders ship from Germany by DPD or DHL, with free delivery that usually takes 6–7 working days.
- Returns: 30 days for change of mind, but you pay the return postage. It pays for returns of faulty or wrong items.
- The stated warranty is one year. Damage or defects found on delivery should be reported within 96 hours, with photos or video.
- Support is by email only, Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm.
Who is behind Home Fitness Code?
Home Fitness Code’s About page lists HongKong Runhongze Limited with an address in Kowloon, Hong Kong. Its returns policy refers to “HomeFitnessCode Ltd”. The Irish site (ie.homefitnesscode.com) is one of several country sites. We could not find an Irish office or phone number: the contact page gives an email address and a web form.
Delivery
| What | Home Fitness Code’s stated policy |
|---|---|
| Shipped from | Germany |
| Delivery cost to Ireland | Free on all fitness equipment |
| Processing time | 1–2 working days before dispatch |
| Delivery time | About 6–7 working days on average |
| Couriers | DPD and DHL |
| Plug | Listings state a UK plug, the same three-pin type used in Ireland |
Some items ship in more than one parcel. For example, the walking pad and the optional mat arrive separately.
We ordered one ourselves
Policies only tell you so much, so we ordered a Home Fitness Code walking pad to see what turns up at the door. It arrived 4 days after we placed the order, quicker than the 6–7 working days the shop quotes. That is one order, so treat it as a single data point rather than a promise, especially around Black Friday and Christmas.
The pad came in one cardboard box. Inside, it was wrapped in plastic film, with white foam blocks holding the ends of the deck in place. Once unpacked and plugged in, the display lit up and was ready to use. If your box looks damaged, take photos before you open it: Home Fitness Code asks for damage to be reported within 96 hours.

Returns, refunds and warranty
- Change of mind: you can return within 30 days of signing for the goods, but you pay the return shipping. For a 13–26 kg walking pad that can be a real cost, so keep the original box.
- Faulty, damaged or wrong items: Home Fitness Code says it pays the return shipping. It asks for photos or video and may offer a replacement part instead of a return.
- Time limits: its policy asks you to report damage or defects found on delivery within 96 hours.
- Refunds: to the original payment method, within 7 working days of receiving the return.
- Warranty: one year, covering repair or replacement of faulty goods or parts.
Your legal rights still apply. For online purchases you normally have a 14-day cooling-off period from delivery (CCPC). Irish consumer law also gives you rights when goods are faulty, separate from any retailer warranty (CCPC). If a dispute with a trader based outside Ireland cannot be resolved, ECC Ireland may be able to advise.
What public reviews say
On Trustpilot, Home Fitness Code had a TrustScore of 3.7 out of 5 from about 9,100 reviews when we re-checked on 13 October 2026. Trustpilot notes that the company invites customers to leave reviews, that it has a paid subscription, and that it had not replied to negative reviews. Trustpilot’s own AI summary says most recent reviewers were “somewhat happy”. Common positives are easy ordering, quick delivery, packaging, simple assembly and quiet running. Opinions on order handling and product quality are described as mixed.
Review platforms do not verify every review, and people with a problem are more likely to post. Treat the score as one signal among several. We do not publish customer reviews ourselves.
How the Trustpilot ratings split
The headline score hides a split picture. On 13 October 2026 Trustpilot showed this breakdown for Home Fitness Code:
| Rating | Share of reviews |
|---|---|
| 5 stars | 60% |
| 4 stars | 9% |
| 3 stars | 4% |
| 2 stars | 3% |
| 1 star | 24% |
About seven in ten reviewers gave four or five stars, but roughly one in four gave one star. That pattern is common for online retailers of bulky goods: most orders arrive without fuss, and when something does go wrong (a damaged box, a fault, a slow reply by email) the experience can be frustrating. Read the most recent one-star reviews before you order to see whether the complaints would matter to you.
What the complaints are about
To see what goes wrong, we read the 185 most recent one-star English-language Trustpilot reviews (January to October 2026). More than half mention customer service (slow or unhelpful replies by email), nearly half mention returns or refunds, and about 50 describe late, lost or wrong deliveries. About 30% describe a faulty product, usually found on arrival: a broken remote, a damaged plug, an error code or a pad that would not start. Very few describe a pad failing after weeks of use. Some reviewers say they were asked to send a video before a refund or replacement was agreed, which matches Home Fitness Code’s stated policy.
In the 200 most recent English reviews overall, the most common positives were fast delivery (about 45 mentions), value for money (about 40) and build quality (about 20).
Reviews on Home Fitness Code’s own website
Home Fitness Code also shows reviews on its product pages, where its walking pads score 4.3 to 4.7 out of 5 (for example, 986 reviews for the C1 and 449 for the Q2 Pro on 13 October 2026). Those reviews are run by the seller itself, and we noticed many short, generic comments and some repeated wording, so we give more weight to Trustpilot and to independent owner discussions.
Prices and “was” prices
Home Fitness Code often shows a high “was” price next to a much lower selling price, for example €279.99 against €99.99. In our checks since 24 September the selling prices have stayed the same. Judge the price against what similar pads cost elsewhere, not against the “was” figure. Our Black Friday price guide explains the Irish rules on price reductions.
Before you order: a quick checklist
- Check the weight limit, speed and size of the exact model and variant (with or without handrail or mat).
- Pay by credit or debit card, which may give you chargeback protection if something goes wrong.
- Keep the box and packaging until you are happy, because returns must be packaged.
- Inspect the pad on delivery and photograph any damage straight away, given the 96-hour reporting window.
- Keep your order number and all emails, since support is by email only.
Alternatives if you prefer a local retailer
If you would rather buy from a shop with Irish stores: Decathlon states a 2-year warranty on its own-brand W500B (€420) and offers returns on online orders. Elverys sells Body Sculpture walking pads from €199. They cost more for similar specs, but you get store support. Our where to buy guide compares them.
Our view
Home Fitness Code looks like a genuine online retailer with published policies, a long review history and prices that are hard to beat in Ireland. The trade-offs are those of buying from an overseas online seller: email-only support, change-of-mind returns at your own cost, and a short window to report delivery damage. If those suit you, it is a reasonable option. If you value in-store help or a longer warranty, pay more at an Irish retailer.
