Specs and price checked 12 October 2026
The Kingsmith WalkingPad X21 is a premium folding walking pad that also lets you jog. In Ireland it costs €899 at McSport, about nine times the price of the cheapest walking pads. This review explains what you get for that money, where the published specifications disagree, and who would be better served by something cheaper. We have not used the X21 ourselves: everything below comes from Kingsmith’s and the retailer’s published information, and we say which source each figure comes from.

Our verdict in brief
The X21 makes sense if you want a well-known brand, a pad that folds upright into a corner, a wider belt and a top speed of 12 km/h, and you weigh comfortably under 110 kg. For most people who simply want to walk at a desk, it is hard to justify: walking pads that cost €100–€200 cover 1–6 km/h walking, and some are rated for heavier users.

What stands out
It folds twice and stands upright
Most budget walking pads store flat under a sofa or bed. The X21 instead uses Kingsmith’s double-fold design, so it can stand in a corner or a press. That suits homes with no space under the furniture, but check the folded height against your storage spot, because McSport does not say whether its 142 × 72 × 102 cm figure is folded or open.

A wider belt and real jogging speed
The running area is 121 × 46 cm. That is longer and noticeably wider than the 90–98 × 38–40 cm belts on typical €100–€200 pads, which gives more room for a natural stride. With a top speed of 12 km/h, it covers brisk walking and steady jogging, though it is not designed for sprint sessions.
Easier day-to-day controls
Kingsmith describes a round SpeedDial: turn it to change speed, press it to start or stop. McSport also lists the KS Fit app for tracking and control, an LED display and a detachable phone holder. McSport says no installation is needed.

Limitations to weigh up
- The price. At €899 plus delivery, it costs far more than walking pads that do the basic job. On 12 October our walking pads in Ireland guide listed pads from €99.99.
- A modest weight limit. Both sources give about 110 kg. If you are close to that, leave a margin and see walking pads rated up to 150 kg.
- Weight and noise. At 38 kg, it is a two-person carry up stairs. McSport’s 75 dB figure at top speed is higher than Kingsmith’s “under 65 dB”; neither says how it was measured.
- No incline, no handrails. If you want either, a cheaper pad may suit you better. Kingsmith’s X214 adds foldable side handrails.
- Conflicting specifications. The motor (1 HP vs 3.75 HP) and noise figures differ between the Irish retailer and the manufacturer, so confirm them before you order.
Buying the X21 in Ireland
On 12 October 2026, McSport listed the X21 at €899, showed it as out of stock with a restock date of 16 October, and quoted €59.95 delivery. It offered a free floor mat with the purchase and pay-later options. McSport’s warranty covers the frame and parts for 2 years for home use, but not labour. As with any online purchase in Ireland, you generally have a 14-day cooling-off period, but check who pays return delivery on a 38 kg machine.
Cheaper alternatives worth comparing
If you mainly want to walk while working, these cost a fraction of the X21. They are sold by Home Fitness Code, which pays us a commission. They are cheaper, but they have narrower belts, a 1-year warranty and ship from Germany.
- Q2 Pro (€99.99): 1–10 km/h for light jogging, brushless motor, 120 kg rating, stores flat.
- Z3 (€109.99): walking only (1–6 km/h), the lowest noise claim in our guide, 13 kg and 9.7 cm tall.
- Y3 (€199.99): rated for 150 kg with powered incline to 12%.
